Stardust - Ch. 3 "See? Look at it." Jason said. "Normal dust doesn't form like that." "Well yeah, but..." Ty blinked, shifting his headphones so the fell off his ears and instead around his shoulders, connected by a wire to the iPod in his jeans pocket. "What, d'you think it means something?" "That's just it." Jason crouched down beside the perfect lines of dust on his bedroom floor. "I looked it up while you were daydreaming. It's binary code; coordinates." "Coordinates?" Ty asked. "To where?" "I don't know, but I intend to find out." Jason said. "I'm leaving to go in an hour." "What?" Ty exclaimed. "Jason, you can't just go, you have to bring some army man with you or..." Suddenly, Ty remembered the words from that weird guy... Who ironically sounded not like Martin Freeman now, but more like David Tennant. "What you gotta do is just let him go. Be smart about it, even though you're gonn
STC: Gentlemen Prefer Orions: EpilogueEPILOGUEOpen Space, SS CalypsoJuly 11, 2269With her man taking a long, needed shower after the events of the day, Sajeen had taken the time to make things ready for their evening together. She’d brought her white hybor comforter from her own room and laid it out over his spacious bed, adding her matching hybor pillows. Over this, fur-side down, she’s spread his own black hybor comforter with her large grayth pelt atop it as a finishing touch. On the nearby small table were a pair of wineglasses and a carafe of Andorian ale, one of the few alcoholic beverages Garadun enjoyed. Beside it was a bowl of Earth-style nacho chips, a snack for them later on if they were feeling peckish. Sensual Orion music was playing, and the lights were low and romantic. Sajeen had brushed her waist-length hair until it was a curtain of ebony softness, and all she wore was the black Triaxian silk robe she’d received as a gift that mo
Thalia's Tale - Ch. 37 - A Low Point "What are we gonna do?" Thalia asked. "They must've fallen off the roof, that's the only way they could be missing!" "They could've fallen off the front and sucked under the wheels." Vern pointed out. Thalia stared at him. "Thank you for that charming image." She said sarcastically. "But how are we gonna finish the mission with half our team gone?!" "We go on without them." Vern said. He shoved the ignition lever forwards and the train lurched forward, slowly picking up speed. Thalia stared at him. "Is that it then?" She said. "Do you care about Clancy that little?" "He's not dead, Vaerin, he doesn't just die." Vern sighed. "He has a way of bouncing back. Besides. Our duty is to this mission. We can't stay here, and we can't go back. We have to keep going without them." "I don't think you get it." Thalia said. "Have you ever been on a mission where one of your comrades die?" "No but
Death Battle: Lord Tirek vs AlduinKiryu: Alright, the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all.Gwangi: It's time for a Death Battle!!!***The ground shook and cracked as cloven hooves walked across it. These hooves were connected to a black pony-like body, which in turn was connected to a torso with arms and a head with curved horns.Lord Tirek traversed the land of Skyrim, the centaur having fed upon the magic of whatever being was foolish to face him overtime. Now, with the magic of Discord and the alicorns, all of this world would now bow to his will.A shadow appeared above Tirek, though, as the centaur looked up to see a black dragon flying overhead. The dragon turned in a wide circle as he landed atop a rocky outcropping, before he glared at Tirek with red eyes full of menace.“Hin sil fen nahkip bahloki,” Alduin stated in his native tongue, the World Eater unafraid of Tirek's presence.“Your language speaks nothing to me,” Tirek responded. “I, Lord
A World Apart - Ch. 10 - Latin Absurdities*Mitch* By the time I made it to school, I was a few minutes late and out of breath. I had taken my bow and arrows with me like Dreven had instructed and tossed them in my back yard before I booked it to Latin class. I shouldered my way through the door hurriedly. "Sorry I'm late Mr. Finley!" The class looked up. There were seven kids it looked like; less than a fourth of the Spanish class. Three that looked my age - potentially sophomores like me - sat at the front of the class at two long tables. Four more that looked older sat behind them at a collection of desks which were mostly empty. A boy in the back row, a taller one with platinum blonde hair, looked at Mr. Finley. "Mr. Finley, do we have a new student?!" "New student?" "Why on earth would he transfer to Latin..." "Yes. Yes, um..." The teacher stood. "This is Mitch. And thanks to him you all get a study hall while I catch him up."
Neko Mother - Chapter 11 - TG, TF (Unedited)(Fair warning, this is the unedited version of the chapter. There will be mistakes. I will be replacing it once my editor gets done with it.)Chapter 11He was coming to see me!Shortly after they had moved me to this room they had started the new tests. They had me running on treadmill with ever increasing speed, squeezing and hitting strange devices that measured my strength and even having to dodge ball launched at me, supposed to test my reflexes. Also there were weekly cat-scans, MRIs and of course blood work. The codes again took a huge leap in difficulty. They ranged from database to complex formulas. The strange things was there seemed to be a pattern in the tests themselves that I was beginning to see.I didn't mind the tests too much because each one allowed me to see the world beyond my room. On the way to each test I saw other people walking along the halls, many were doctors in their white coat but others seemed to be test subjects like myself. None of them seemed to be ve
