A World Apart - Ch. 1 - Conflict*Jerome*
Running. He was running just about as fast as he could. Trees whipped past him, wind whistling past his ears as he bolted through the forest.
This was unknown territory. He had no idea where he was. He was lost on the wrong side of the river with no way to tell where that river even was.
He was terrified. I could practically smell it on him. As I watched this boy run by the tree I hid in, totally oblivious to my position, I couldn't help but wonder; what was this kid doing here? How old was he? Where were his parents? I couldn't tell but he looked like he was close to my age, maybe just a little younger.
He had light brown hair that stuck up on end, and wore a black tee shirt with dog tags around his neck. Other than that he wore red shoes and jeans and he appeared to have no weapon on him. Nevertheless he was still trespassing on Bacca territory. It was my civic duty to kill him.
I sighed and pulled my diam
The Potentially Mad Scientist It had been my dream to join the army ever since I first saw them fighting. I was at the Massacre of Shard City - I watched as my entire village was murdered when I was only seven years old. Me and my parents got out okay, but not many others did.
And the only reason I was still alive was because of them; the Sky Army. A bunch of recruits saved us. They were fast and strong and smart; they were heroes. And as soon as they knew we were okay, they all ran back into battle to try to save some more lives. One of them even saved my goat - Lucius (I call her Lucy).
That was the day I knew. I wanted to be just like them. I wanted to grow up and fight for Minecraftia just like them. I wanted to learn how to use a sword and do that jumping stuff they could do with the backflips and I wanted to learn how to protect my family.
From that day on, I spent almost the whole day every day researching; learning all I could about them so one day I cou
The Good Old Days At this point, Skylord Lysander found himself banging his head repeatedly down on the table in front him in boredom. Quietly, of course. He mustn't disturb the Admirals as they debated about the air lights on... And on... And on...
He let out a sigh and let his head rest against the large round conference table. He heard a groan from beside him. "Why do the annual meetings have to be so damned long?!" Lysander turned his head to the right as Skylord Amber looked to her left. Before the two even made eye contact, the knew they were thinking the same thing.
"I'll tell you what..." Lysander sucked in a quick breath as he straightened up, keeping his voice low so as not to attract the attention of the Admirals. "When I make Admiral, I'm gonna change up the meetings so they last one day and they'll have pizza. Shiploads of it."
"Ooh ooh, and those neat drink machines that they have in the movies!" Skylord Vimes added excitedly f

Aira-ty palmed open the door of her quarters and stopped in the doorway to star at the woman sitting on her bunk. The flaming red hair curling around her features looked nothing like Aira-ty's own long sea green hair though and she looked at Aira-ty with a pair of vertically slit green eyes. Aira-ty had only seen her adoptive sister once just after leaving the Jedi Order, years and years ago. Then she'd seen her parents playing happily with their new daughter and it had broken Aira-ty's heart. Instead of coming home to her family, she'd fled. Maybe that had been a stupid decision, but she'd made it and here they were.
Shaira-na stood up from the bed and looked at Aira-ty with a frown as she examined the red beskar'gam Aira-ty wore.
“I can't believe it.” she murmured as she shook her head. “After all they'd told me...everything they'd said about you...and this is all you are.” she waved her hand. “

Confronted with a reminder of her long forgotten family, Aira-ty learns that her homeworld is no longer the paradise it once was and much has changed.
Torn between duty and a feeling of needing to prove herself, she resolves to return to her homeworld in an attempt to set things right only to find that she will not be alone on her personal quest. Glad You're Here - Chapter One (Rytho) Rythian laid in a hammock that was tied between two trees, reading a book with his reading glasses sitting upon his nose. The sun was low in the sky, but he still had quite a few hours left. He loved nights like this; nights when the sky was clear and the air itself around him appeared to be an orange color. It was a beautiful night; and it was about to get better.
He heard footsteps, and a shape pulled itself up into the hammock. The figure looked at him in alarm and squeaked, "Rythian!"
Rythian jumped and dropped his book in surprise, but didn't fall off. "Seto-?"
Seto glared at him playfully. "My turn." He growled.
Rythian raised one eyebrow. "Who said we were taking turns?"
"And when was that?"
Rythian winced. "I thought we agreed that anything I say when I'm drunk is forfeit."
"Yeah but you weren't drunk, you were just

“I'm telling you, she didn't seem at all happy to hear about her sister.” Jesp said worriedly.
His brothers all looked at one another before Gallant spoke up.
“Well they hadn't seen one another in so long, maybe she was just shocked?”
Sly shrugged. “That might be it...we don't really know anything about the Commander's past so who can say. There might be some bad blood between them.”
“Why would family have bad blood?” Cube asked, looking around at the others. “Family is family.”
“I can think of a few reasons.” grumbled Hooligan sullenly as he sat on the bench quietly.
Silence fell as they all looked at their squad's gunner worriedly. It hadn't been too long ago that Smile had been killed. The pair had been close. Very close, despite all their arguing and barbs.
“You remember when this war started.” Hooligan continued. “There were nine of us.”

As you walked down the streets next to Antonio you felt everyone's eyes on you. People were whispering as you passed by them and it was making you very uncomfortable. As you glance at the people you feel Antonio take you a hold of your hand.
"Don't worry. People are just blown away by how beautiful you look." Antonio smile causing you to blush slightly. You really weren't use to such complaints. Most of your life you have been treated as one of the guys. Then again this is your first time in a dress like this.
"Where is Francis and everyone else?" You asked in a small voice hoping to change the conversation. It was weird how clothe can effect ones mood.
"They went to go check on why Jack is here. If he is here it means trouble. We should be leaving as soon as we can." The Spaniard said with a serious face. Sighing you wished you could find Arthur. Ever since your run in with Jack you've been feeling uneasy. Something about that guy was oddly familiar but when you tried to th

Captain Trent Weller sat behind his desk and studied the crewman standing at attention before him. She was the only Orion in the ship’s complement; and despite what the men on the Cassini might prefer, she was not wearing the popular miniskirt, nylons and calf-high boots version of the female Starfleet uniform. Instead she wore black slacks and low boots in addition to her red tunic with black collar. Her long black hair was twisted into a simple knot at the base of her skull. She wore no makeup apart from a bit of eyeshadow, and didn’t need any.
Standing to the right of the young Orion was Commander Darrin Yates, the Cassini’s first officer; on her left was Lt. Commander Carl Billingsley, the ship’s chief medical officer. Both men wore very grave expressions.
“At ease, crewman,” said Captain Weller. “What’s this all about?”
